Product Description
This 1 1/2 gallon Sky Cafe Hopper is specially designed to fit the Sky Cafe Bird Feeders. It has no need for seed ports. As of 2015, we have updated our hopper material to a much more resilient & durable polycarbonate. This new material has high impact-resistance and is now much stronger and resistant from cracks as breakage. Available on Sky Cafe Bird Feeders (AR360/AR362) only.
If your SkyCafe Bird Feeder doesn't have ports, and feeds birds through a tray at the base of the bird feeder, then this is the correct replacment part for your SkyCafe Bird Feeder (AR360/AR362). (If your bird feeder has 4 ports & perches, then your bird feeder is a Mandarin bird feeder (AR150/AR152), not the Sky Cafe. Please go HERE for your correct part.)

Was a little worried. Ordered a part for the feeder and wasn't sure it would fit with the older pieces. Perfect fit though. Feeder is good as new.

No other feeder for me!

I've been feeding birds since about 1985 and in that time, I've tried so many "squirrel-proof" feeders it would make your head spin. None of them were really very squirrel-proof. I bought my first Sky Cafe probably around 1996 and it wasn't advertised as squirrel-proof at that time that I remember. Not only was it a great feeder, it turned out to be truly squirrel-proof. As long as the squirrels can't jump onto the tray from something nearby, they won't be dining on your birdseed. The squirrels in our yard don't even try any longer. I quit experimenting on feeders and have owned nothing else since then. Have replaced parts now and then and a couple of times the entire feeder, but I don't waste my time looking at any other types.

We love our Sky Cafe bird feeder. It truly is squirrel-proof, provided it's hung far enough away from trees from which squirrels can jump. A while ago, a visiting black bear crushed the hopper and tray, leaving the lid intact. Fortunately we were able to order a new hopper and tray from Squirrel Stuff. The material is good quality, and delivery was prompt. Thank you, Squirrel Stuff.

Best squirrel proof feeder ever!

I have used this type of feeder for years now. As long as you hang it high enough above the ground so the squirrels can't jump up, they just can't get into the seed. They slide right off the roof of the feeder. (The only problem happens if the snow gets too high; then the squirrels can jump up!)
Over the course of a number of years, the stress of the weight of the considerable amount of seed that this feeder holds does take its toll on the holes up near the top of the hopper and cracks start to develop; this is, however, after a number of years. This is why I am buying a replacement, so I'll be ready in case the cracks go all the way through- probably the best insurance that I will not need this replacement part! Anyway, best feeder ever! -
Replaced a 15 year old broken part

Perfect fit to replace a base broken by repeated falls to the ground over about 15 years of use. Still had the conical top from old feeder and they matched exactly. Also purchased the tray. Fabricated the wire hanger from a coat hanger and back in bird feeding business for $33.

I have four Sky Cafes. They really are "squirrel proof". MY only complaint in the past was the hopper cracking at the holes for the wire from the weight of the seed. Consequently I wrap the top of the hopper with duct tape to "reinforce" it. I have also stopped putting as much seed in at one time so the weight is less. The improvements you describe above were much needed. I still have three hoppers of the old material. so we'll see how this new one holds up.
