great for pole mounting the sky cafe - keeps the squirrels from suspending themselves from the tree limb to get at the feed

We have such a heavy build-up of snow/ice here that the fat grey squirrels are high-flying up onto the dome. They've learned how to grab the cord/bead and hang on and within a split second has bit it off. I've taken to covering it all with tape to delay the chewing! I just wish the cord is a fine metal cable-like cord that they cannot bite through! I'd be willing to pay more for one of these.

At our new house we chose to pole mount our sky cafe. The kit was simple to install and works great. We put the sky cafe 7 feet up so we can see it from the dining room window. We used 2' sections of pole so we can lower the feeder to refill which is very easy with the kit and then lift back in place. I think it's easier to fill now compared to when we had it hung from a tree limb.
